About This Exhibition
Eighty works from the private collection of H-E-B chairman Charles Butt, travelling to Houston from the Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth. The collection runs deep in mid-century American painting — O'Keeffe, Hopper, Pollock, Jacob Lawrence, Romare Bearden, Joan Mitchell and Alice Neel among them.
